British gymnast Louis Smith has been announced as National Citizen Service (NCS) sports ambassador for 2016, and will be hosting talks and visiting young people around the country, encouraging their involvement with the programme.

Smith commented 'I'm really proud to be working with NCS in 2016. Supporting young people is something I'm really passionate about. Gymnastics was the thing that really connected with me when I was younger and I'm lucky enough to be in a position to share that and inspire young people to find out what empowers them in life'.
